Position: AdSense Product Specialist

The area: Online Sales and Operations
The Online Sales and Operations (OSO) team keeps Google growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for supporting customers and generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, Gmail and Google Earth. This means that OSO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible – and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role: AdSense Product Specialist
The AdSense Product Specialist serves as a product expert, business analyst, and end-user champion within the AdSense operations group. In this job, you'll work closely with Product Management and Engineering as an integral member of core product teams to help shape the evolution of AdSense products by focusing on the needs of the customer and the market. You'll also act as an internal product expert for the broader AdSense operations team by collecting and analyzing data to influence product roadmaps and the prioritization of product features. AdSense, a rapidly growing part of Google's core online advertising business, enables website publishers to generate revenue through integrated "Ads by Google," monetized search results and Google product referral links on their sites. You bring deep interest and experience in operational management, product development and market dynamics. You're also a persuasive communicator who can look at the big picture while paying strict attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Google AdSense Operations, Product Management and Engineering teams in the development and launch of AdSense-related products.
- Drive strategic, analytical and product initiatives, working closely with AdSense senior management.
- Provide customer-driven feedback to Product Managers and Engineers on new and existing products.
- Develop and execute operational support plans for the launch of AdSense products and features.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to improve operations workflow, communications, customer support and policy management.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree (preferably in computer science or engineering) with a record of outstanding academic performance.
- At least 2 years of experience in technology-related product management, product marketing and/or consulting (customer service experience preferred).
- Self-directed, motivated and driven performer.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Distinctive problem solving and analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
