The Role: Test Engineer, SRE
As a Test Engineer on our Mountain View Site Reliability Engineering team, you will examine, validate and test large scale production development and deployment projects as well as help design and deploy new automation for MySQL and related services and management features external to MySQL itself. You will specialize in production infrastructure and be responsible for testing and validating critical database management infrastructure composed mostly of a large python codebase across multiple Google products.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent coding skill in Python
- 2+ years of experience in Linux or UNIX systems administration
- 2+ years of development and/or test automation experience with 1 year being specific to database-related topics
- Good knowledge of data storage technologies
- Expert SQL knowledge a plus
