The role: Treasury Analyst, Portfolio Management
Become a key player in a growing world class portfolio management team. Google treasury is building a core team and putting in place the infrastructure to support the development of a global portfolio management organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The ideal candidate is one who has been a top academic performer with a proven track record and who has the desire to excel in everything he/she does. Primary job responsibility is to assist the portfolio managers in our global investment program.
Responsibilities:
•Provide in-depth analytical support for the Google portfolio management team.
•Provide on-going and ad hoc reporting related to performance and risk of the portfolio.
•Act as primary interface with the treasury accounting team, the treasury risk management group and the treasury systems team.
•Over time, opportunity to transition into role as portfolio manager based on performance.
•Ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements:
•BS/BA degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or engineering.
•MS in financial engineering or financial mathematics a plus.
•CFA preferred, or on track for obtaining the CFA designation.
•2-3 years experience in a highly quantitative role (ideally at an investment management firm or investment bank).
•Strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skills.
•Good knowledge of portfolio accounting in a corporate environment and risk measurement methodologies, including Value-At-Risk.
•Experience with interest rate, FX, and/or equity derivatives a plus.
